How do you get the horse and dog on harvest moon?

to get a dog go outside of your house an look on your farm or next to your neighbor's house and u will find a dog. to get a horse, one day your neighbor, will come to your house and ask if u want the horse because u have a stable (a stable comes in the beginning of harvest moon, it's next to your house) say yes, now u have a horse.
