How do you get the music on your laptop to your ipod?

If you do not have a copy of iTunes software installed install a copy of Itunes software. Assuming the music on the laptop is in mp3 format drag the music files in to the iTunes music library. You can also add tracks from CDs you may own and iTunes can convert them to the mp3 format.

Connect the iPod to the laptop's USB socket and iTunes will recognise it. You can then manage the music you want added to your iPod - iTunes can pick a random selection for you or you can set up your own playlist of tracks you particularly want to hear.
