Nodes can be mobile

May be battery operated. But

recharging is possible.

Main goal is to provide the service

Hundreds of thousands of nodes

Nodes integrate sensors, processors,

transceivers with limited resources

Nodes are generally stationary after

deployment

Each node depends on small low

capacity battery as energy source,

and cannot expect replacement

The main goal is to prolong the

lifetime of the network
