Tasmanian myrtle, also known as Myrtle beech, is found in both Tasmanian and Victoria in Australia. It is found primarily in the cool temperate rainforests of both states, especially in central Tasmania and the west, and a small area of the northeast of the island. It prefers moist, sheltered conditions.
