What type of wood snowboards?

all depends on the board, for example, Rome's mod uses bambo stringers through out the board to give it a good snappy flex, but for the most part (with the exception of your sporting good store brands) many companies use their own hybrid mix of different woods. it also depends on the flex pattern they are trying to achieve.
