Coffee is beat brewed between 92oC and 96oC (197.6 - 204.8oF) Tea is a complex beverage and can be brewed at differing temperatures depending on the type:

• Green Teas: 180oF (80oC)
• Semi-Fermented teas: 195oF (93oC)
• Black Teas: 212oF (100oC)

In either case, the temperature of tea or coffee as served will be 10oC or so less than the brewing temperature

Note

There is no maximum temperature set by Law. Following the whole McDonald's Coffee Case even McDonald's itself has not reduced the temperatures of their hot beverages- they still serve tea/coffe at 170ºF (77ºC).

Starbucks serve their coffee hotter than McDonald's, at a temperature of 175 to 185 degrees F.
