Is Veda a saint's name

Veda is not the name of any Catholic saints according to what I know, what I was taught by the church and what I have researched online. However, Rig Veda (sometimes written Rigveda) is an author of ancient writings about Hindu saints. The writings are said to be the oldest recorded in the entire world.
