MetroLyrics was originally owned by CBS Interactive, a division of CBS Corporation. In 2011, it was acquired by the company LyricFind, which specializes in licensing lyrics for various platforms. As of my last knowledge update in October 2023, LyricFind continues to manage the lyrics database and licensing for MetroLyrics.
