What does NDI mean stamped in 14k ring?

I own a .30ct white diamond 14k white gold band with the intials "ndi" inside the ring. It is the name of a man who owns a company based out of Africa which deals in raw diamonds. I bought my ring out of a pawn shop for $300.00. The same ring was appraised at $3,000.00!
