What is team Edward and team Jacob for?

In the Twilight Series (Especially New Moon) there is a rivalry between Edward Cullen (The Vampire) and Jacob Black (Werewolf a.k.a. shapeshifter) on who would get Bella. In the end Edward Cullen (of course) gets Bella and Jacob imprints on Renesmee; Bella's hybrid baby. So fans (mostly female) started to judge the whole series on who they would pick if they were in Bella's place. Those who loved Edward Cullen so much picked Team Edward; and those who had sympathy (or loved Jacob Black more then Edward) sided on Team Jacob. These are the main Teams for Twilight. The majority of Twilight fans are on the cold, granite vampire: Edward Cullen. The minority of fans support other people on Twilight like e.g. Jasper Cullen, Emmett Cullen or Seth Clearwater etc.
