Well navel piercings take about 3 to 6 months to attain a light heal (this is when they are less susceptible to infection and irritation) No piercing is considered healed until it's a full year old, this is when the piercing has reached it's "seasoned" point ( less prone to infection and will allow jewellery to be changed with ease ). Please use the correct phrase "navel piercing" in stead of "belly piercing" which draws connotations of dirty unkempt and just over all ugly, a phrase most professional body piercers hate to hear.
