The brain remains a mystery due to its complex structure and function, comprising approximately 86 billion neurons interconnected by trillions of synapses. Despite advances in neuroimaging and research techniques, our understanding of how these networks give rise to consciousness, emotions, and cognition is still limited. Additionally, individual variations in brain function and the influence of genetic and environmental factors further complicate our understanding. As a result, many aspects of brain activity and its implications for behavior and mental health continue to challenge scientists.
