Does Vicodin speed up metabolism

Unlike the macronutrients (carbohydrates, fats and proteins), vitamins do not provide energy or act as building blocks except in the formation of various coenzymes. Each has a different function. They are required for metabolism but increased levels will not speed up the process. Very little is know about the exact metabolic mechanisms involved in many vitamins, including vitamin C, although the effects of deficiencies and the physiological effects are well known.
