Hi,

According to several sources, while living in Strasburg, Germany Gutenberg started the creation of the printing press however; it was not until he moved back to his hometown of Maniz, Germany that he was able to completely set up his first printing press in 1444.

I was able to locate this source by using http://www.google.com. In the search box I typed in the term "Johannes Gutenberg press" and received several results including this specific one. If you look below the timeline you will find additional useful information to support this answer.
