What do you do i have a hive in my loft?

A hive is an artificial home provided by a beekeeper to keep his bees in. What you will have in your loft is a nest. If the nest looks like a grey paper football, it will be a wasp's nest and can safely be removed IN THE WINTER because all the wasps will be dead. If what you see is honeycomb hanging from a beam, ceiling or something similar it will be a honey bee nest and although you may not see much activity in the winter, the bees will be there. If they're not a problem, just leave them where they are. If they are causing problems you will have to contact a pest controller who will be able to get rid of them successfully.
