How does saw stop work?

SawStop is a safety system designed for table saws that detects contact with skin. It uses a technology that senses changes in electrical conductivity when skin touches the blade. Upon detection, an aluminum brake is activated, rapidly stopping the blade and retracting it beneath the table, minimizing injury. This mechanism allows for a quick response, significantly reducing the risk of severe cuts or amputations.
