I get my shoes put on by my farrier and he charges me sixty-five dollars for a trim and shoes on the front hooves.

Well, they can range from 15- hundreds. The more expensive ones, can be specially made, and the less expensive ones can be cheaply made. I would ask your farrier what he/she thinks!
