Does timing belt need to be changed due to age on 1999 Honda Accord EX with 44000 miles or how long can it wait?

timing belts on all cars need to be changed because of age dont know exactly when but just keep checking it for any damage or cracks in the belt you dont want it to snap! if it does the pistons will hit the valves and you dont want internal engine damage all for the sake of a relatively cheap timing belt!
