Yes you can!

For any record you wish to break or set, once you've applied via the Guinness World Records website, they will send you a guidelines pack detailing the rules for that record, and the evidence you will be required to submit for them to verify your attempt.

Of course, you can always request for one of their trained adjudicators to be present and verify your attempt in person.
