What is a stamp on a penny?

If you're referring to a small picture of JFK, the Liberty Bell, or some other historic image you have a novelty item made by stamping that image into an ordinary circulation coin. These are normally sold as so-called collectibles or given away as promotional items but they have no value to coin collectors.
