the poem is a Ballad that tells the tragic table of two lovers. lord ullin is angry with the chief of ulva s isle for having eloped with his daughter. his men pursue the lovers as they wish to kill the cheiftain .hence ,the lovers try to escape from lord ullin and and his men.
