Is coke and Pepsi a toilet cleaner?

Coca-Cola contains some ingredients that could clean a toilet bowl. However it is not the ideal choice. It has been used rarely as a "home remedy" of sorts and does not thoroughly clean and leaves sugars for bacteria to further grow. The carbon dioxide properties account for most of the cleansing action, hence Carbonated Water and Salt would likely be just as effective.

Coke can clean a toilet, but after a while, it starts to fade away the shine and give your toilet problems. It dissolves the shine and can dissolves some of the pipes if you use it too much.
