I finally got my own dogs. You just have to prove that you are capable. Do the research, find the dog, contact the owner, add pet supplies to ur cart. Be extra helpful around the house so that the know u can handle another thing. Get a non shedding dog because parents seem to hate fur around the house. It took me 9 years to convince them so don't give up!
