How do I deactivate my account?

Your ooVoo account is a free plan with unlimited usage; you will never be charged a fee. It does not cost anything to keep your account active even if you don't use it and it will maintain your contact list.

If you prefer to deactivate your account we recommend the following steps (even if you are just deactivating an extra account):

1) Sign into the account you wish to deactivate

2) Go to File>My Account>Edit My ooVoo Card

· In the Display Name field type: inactive

· Add .oovoo to the end of your email address to remove it from our list

· Remove your photo

3) Go to File>Settings>Privacy

• Change your Privacy setting so No One can Search for you or find you

4) Go to File>Emails

• Uncheck the boxes under Notification

5) Uninstall ooVoo from your computer:

(For XP) START/CONTROL PANEL/ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS/ scroll down and select ooVoo/ Then click REMOVE/

(For Vista) START/CONTROL PANEL/ PROGRAMS AND FEATURES/ select ooVoo / UNINSTALL/

(For Mac) Go to HD/APPLICATIONS/drag ooVoo to the trash. Also drag the ooVooInstaller on the desktop to the trash.
