Alot of the times in Windows, a Window has a tendency to freeze. Which can become very annoying and cause the Operating System to freeze if the program persists. Windows freeze due to a # of problems, most which is unknown most of the time. Usually the window will freeze and your mouse pointer will turn into an hour-glass while you see the menu of the window titled "not responding". You can try right-clicking on the program while it's in the taskbar and choosing to "close". However this does not always work. The best way to do this is to press Control+Alt+Delete and then click the button titled "Task Manager". You will then see a list of programs/services running in Windows, find the correct name of the frozen program, highlight it and then click the "End Process" button. However, if it's just a folder window or similar in Windows, this will not be displayed in the task manager. You can try simply right-clicking the frozen window in the taskbar and left-clicking close, repeat this process until the frozen window finally closes. Most of the time this will be successful. In some cases, you may have to do a hard or soft boot if all completely freezes up.
