Is the apple of eden in rome?

In Assassin's lore, it did once reside in Rome, beneath the il Colosseo - the Roman Colosseum. Ezio Auditore da Firenze was believed to have placed it there for safe-keeping in the early 16th century (I believe the year was 1511, but I'm not certain). In 2012, however, the Apple was retrieved by Desmond Miles, in concert with Shaun Hastings, Lucy Stillman, and Rebecca Crane.
