No. The most far reaching aspect of the new deal is that it slowed our growth out of a depression and created a further separation of classes by creating a non working class. The idea that you no longer had to work to survive created a class of people that believed they were entitled to rights not actually given them. As a result we have spirling Government entitlements to every conceivable group. We still have a working class of people that produce and pay taxes. We call these people upper middle class now. We also have a lower class that tries to "new deal" their "rights" to the working classes money. The 50% of us that work pay 97% of the Federal tax that supports the ruling class and the welfare class.
