How many poisonous snakes live in Delaware?

One AnswerI have lived in DE all my life and love it. This is one of the best states in the union to live. Very good schools, fantastic shopping, personel services like nails and haircuts are some of the best in the counrty. I have never seen a single snake since I have been here. In fact eventhough others claim to have seen something moving in the grass, no snake has ever been officially spotted.

I live in slower lower DE and I was woke up this morning by my son to let me know about a snake in my house! Oh yeah a live one no joke . I have seen hundreds of snakes in DE and some are poisonous. We have water moccasins (not sure bout spelling sure bout snake though) and we also have copper heads. We many other non poisonous snakes as well.

There are copperheads. That's it for kent and sussex county. In upper Delaware you may, but unlikely, incounter a timber rattle. Water moccasins do not come this far north.
