Why is hydro power better than nonrenewable sources?

Hydropower means power that is contained in water either due to its kinetic or potential energy. Hydro power can be considered to be a renewable source of energy given the fact that rivers and streams continue to flow for ever. Hence, we can use such energy to extract power and use it for our daily needs. Traditionally water mills were used near fast flowing areas or falls. These days its used to run turbines to generate electricity
