Picasso became interested in art because he was recognized by his father, who was an art teacher. His father encouraged him and led him along to pursue the arts. He went to Paris and was interested in the art works of Manet, Gustave Courbet and Toulouse-Lautrec because of their styles. He went from Spain to France many times to view different artist's works. He went through a number of different artistic styles and visited a various states to gain more knowledge, experience and inspiration for his painting and sculptures.
