Why would there be a loud humming noise coming from the back of my car its a 1994 e36 320i BMW could it be the diff or wheel bearings its starts as soon as you start driving?

It definalty sounds like a bearing but to make sure I suggest rotating the tires and see if the noise quites down or is eliminated.
