How can you add peripheral devises to a sysytem?

Nowadays it's pretty easy- most are USB operated and have built-in software that tells the computer how to use the device (called a "driver"). If the peripheral you're using is older or needs special help to work on your computer, it will usually come with a disc to put in and install the drivers.
