What effect does penicillin have on a new tattoo?

If you're about to be tattoo'd and on Penicillin DO NOT get tattoo'd I just attempted to and was unable to proceed more than three minutes, it causes hyper sensitivity to the skin, will make you bleed excessively and ink will barely take and I've sat through a good 7/8 hour session before.

In terms of using it for healing I'd advise you don't the healing is fairly quick anyway and I'd consider it pointless to use.
