Who was the founder of Verizon Wireless?

Its difficult to say who the actual founder of Verizon Wireless was. Perhaps it would be better to trace the roots of the company which leads on one branch all the way back to Alexander Graham Bell, and on another traces roots through mergers of several other electric companies including GTE and Sylvania.
