I have never seen a browning auto-5 shotgun marked with a serial number that way.Could you have a shotgun made by someone else with a browning patent?Maybe savage?

This is the right serial number, 1889/1989 centenial with 100 made in 12 gauge, 100 in 16 and maybe (not sure) 100 in 20 gauge. They were made in FN HERSTAL. I would say quite rare by the quantity since the other many centenial series in this model were made by 500 or even 1000 !! I am not sure when they were made, most likelymatching the 1989 year or close to it. regards JLCLEMAY@hotmail.com
