this is one question that i get in my shop alot. but to tell youi the truth its all about your skill. if you are an experianced rider i would go with the 450f but if you are just getting stasrted, a 250f will do just fine, trust me. i weigh 195 and am able to do hits of up to 70 ft on my 250f and it will go bigger. after you get used to the power and are feeling brave, try putting a high performance cam in the engine, it will increase your power output by about 15 percent. also, if you are planning to ride the tracks alot, spend the money and get some high performance suspension. its worth it
!! remember, a two stroke 125 is roughly equivalent to a 4 stroke 250 and a two stroke 250 is roughly equivalent to a 4 stroke 450. two strokes may run faster with more power but in turn, you will end up replacing your piston twice as fast!!! 4 strokes are every bit as good now a days and the engine wont go out anywhere NEAR that fast. have fun out there:)
