How does a roadrunner mate?

Roadrunners engage in a courtship display that includes various behaviors such as bowing, tail displays, and vocalizations. Mating typically occurs in the spring, and pairs often form monogamous bonds for the breeding season. After mating, the female usually lays 2 to 12 eggs in a nest made of twigs and grass, which both parents help to incubate and care for.
