To propagate tree cuttings in water successfully, follow these steps:
- Take a cutting from a healthy tree branch.
- Remove any leaves from the lower part of the cutting.
- Place the cutting in a container of water, making sure the cut end is submerged.
- Change the water every few days to prevent rotting.
- Keep the cutting in a warm, sunny location but out of direct sunlight.
- Roots should start to grow in a few weeks. Once roots are established, transplant the cutting into soil.
