Why is the bird laying eggs when she does not have a male in the cage with her?

Many birds lay eggs without the presence of a mate, much the same as human females still have a menstrual cycle even if they don't have a sexual partner. Make sure that your cockatoo is getting sufficient calcium, and if she becomes a chronic layer, take her to a vet.
