Is there a difference between and ATV and a four wheeler?

A four wheeler is an ATV but not all ATVs are four wheelers. An ATV is All Terrain Vehicle. Some have just three wheels.

According to Wikipedia, an ATV or all terrain vehicle is also known as a 4 wheeler. These vehicles travel on low pressure tires, have a seat that is straddled and a set of handle bars to hold on to.
