Similarities of almanacs and yearbooks

Historically an Almanac contained astonomical and astrological information such as the phase of the moon, high tides, which parts of the body were supposed to be affected by which planets etc as well as predictions about what these astronomical events would mean for people, farming, politics etc. Yearbooks are a later invention and do not contain astrological or astronomical information - they are just a reference work listing events of a particular year.
