This is located on top of the fuel tank just forward of the rear axle underneath the vehicle. You'll need to drop the tank to get to it. -Safely raise and support the rear of the vehicle, or at least the rear passenger side.

-Get a jack or lever of some kind under the tank to support it and assist with lowering it once you have it loose. I used a standard hydraulic jack with a 2x4 to spread the support so I didn't pop a hole in my tank.

-There are 2 metal straps securing the tank to the chassis. Remove one bolt to release the straps on only one side. You should already have your support system in place to "catch" it once you release these straps.

-Lower your support system (jack or lever) which will drop the tank and allow you to access the fuel pump.

-The pump is held by a 6" plastic retaining ring, I had to use a strap wrench to remove it but the replacement is only $5 at the dealer so I wouldn't worry about destroying it. Just don't poke a hole in the tank! Buy one beforehand, don't open it, keep the receipt, if you don't break the old one, any dealer should have no problem returning it. Guarantee they'll break one and need it in their service center. Incidentally, the fuel filter is on top of the tank too so you'll have to drop it again when that needs changing.
