The Egyptians worshiped their pharaohs, and she tried to portray herself as Isis, who was a queen goddess. Egyptians were monotheistic because they worshipped many gods and goddesses, so that's technically their religion. I don't think there is an actual religion besides monotheism. That's what i think and that's what i found when i researched it...

The term "Mono" means "One". The term you are referring to is Polytheism. "Poly" means multiple. The Egyptians worshipped many different "gods". They had a god of water and so on...

They did worship their Pharoahs also. The Pharoahs would have them pray to the other "gods" like during drought or famine.

There is actually all kinds of religions out there. But everyone puts faith in something wether it be a diety or dieties or money or an object or another human...
