How do you dispose of an old lawn mower?

Look in the paper for people who collect metal. Or try Freecycle in your town. I love www.freecycle.org . It's a wonderful way to recycle junk that we want to keep out of landfills. And one man's junk is another man's treasure.We have a guy that drives around the neighborhoods looking for scrap metal. When my washing machine died ( it was 15 yrs old and had seen better days) I asked him if he wanted it.Not only did he take it off my hands, he pulled it out of the basement for me!

I just set it out at the end of my driveway and they seem to just disapear.
