Is it true that eggs on windshield when hit with wipers turns milky so you cant see?

For a brief time after using window washing fluid with your wipers, it becomes difficult to see. However, with the persistent application of wiper fluid, it washes off quickly enough that it doesn't endanger you too long.

I had an egg thrown at my windshield and though the egg got smeared around the windshield, distorting my vision, yet the washer fluid removed it pretty well. When I got home, I washed it off right away with hot water and paper towels easily.
