How did drake reach the cape?

Drake reached the Cape of Good Hope during his circumnavigation of the globe in the late 16th century. He navigated through the treacherous waters of the Atlantic and around the southern tip of Africa, which he named after himself, calling it "Cape of Storms" before it was later renamed.
