Do you need a pass port for a bohamas cruise?

If you are a US citizen and the cruise is departing from and returning to the same US port, you can cruise to the Bahamas with a certified copy (with a raised seal) of your birth certificate and a government-issued photo ID (for example, a drivers license).

It is better to have a passport, but one is not required.

(Note: if you are not a US citizen - even if you are a "permanent resident alien" - you will need a valid passport and may need a Visa to enter the Bahamas.)
