rose is hale (and Jasper's is hale to the public because there pretending to be brother and sister)
but Jasper's name before he became a vampire was Whitlock
Rosalie and Jasper both go by Hale because Rosalie insisted her last name be Hale, but Jasper and Rose look so much alike that they both go by Hale. Jasper's name before he was a vampire was however Jasper Whitlock.
