How does Graystripe die?

He doesn't die. In The New Prophecy (Second Series) he is carried off by two-legs. Graypaw(now Graystripe) eventually manages to escape and along his way back to Thunderclan he meets Millie, a kittypet. He eventually returns to Thunderclan and goes back to living as normal a life as possible.
