What were the problems of Manuel Roxas in being president?

Manuel Roxas was the president of the Philippines in the mid 1940's. After World War 2 the economics of the Philippines were destroyed and the export of material came to a standstill. Schools were closing down, and there was too much influence from United States policy makers.
